LOL this make my day! They have time for this? Why don't they improve their university. I think bad comment will help them to improve their School. They should be thankful rather than feel bitter to this site. If your school is really that good you will not receive bad comment from any one but since you have bad comment here from you don't know who which is just telling the truth and their experience about your school. Then keep moving!!! make your school much better than ever and may be you will see a lot of good comment for your school!!

This Euclid stuff might very well be the best stuff on this board entertainment wise. LOL

I really appreciate the crap and the risks Chip takes in running this board. Even empty threats can feel terrible. And a tip of the cap to the Moderators. They also share in the heartache that can come from attacks from mill operators and their promoters.

    Cheers.

To be honest, one of the things I miss from the early 2000s era of degreeinfo was the entertainment provided by degree mill operators who showed up here to defend their unwonderful programs, and the detective work done by various degreeinfo members in exposing the umcampuses (a word John Bear coined) of these fine institutions.

However, I will say that the advent of Google Maps street view has also afforded us some amusement, such as the foreign university credential evaluation service located inside a day care center.

It's also particularly amusing when some administrative assistant from a legitimate (i'm talking regionally accredited) school writes in and tries to (usually gently) threaten us about some comments someone doesn't like about their school. The difference is, with these people, I usually give them the benefit of the doubt and say "I could just post your letter and show that you're trying to censor discussion about your program, but I think if you look, you'll figure out that, on the whole, comments about your program are really positive. So my suggestion is we just forget this email happened. But if you want to pursue it, I'll be more than happy to post your threat, which will also have the effect of bumping the original comments."

The difference is... the legit schools immediately figure out that they're better off leaving well enough alone :)

And to answer the question about whether we respond to the various bogus threats... generally no (other than to post them here.) The only time I do is if they're sufficiently amusing, such as the Rose Heneri/Donatelli matters. (for those interested, a search of the archives will retrieve the threats and my emails back and forth.)
