I can understand a 2nd master's if you want to fine tune your skills in a particular area, need a certain amount of graduate credits go teach a particular subject or have the desire to learn more. I would say go for it if you have the means. I had a professor in my MBA program who has 2 doctorates and 7 master's. Lol

7? Wow. I know of a professor at Liberty with a doctorate, 3 masters and currently working on his 2nd doctorate and his 4th master's.

I don't think I will do digital forensics because I don't see how it will really fit into my career goals. I have contemplated earning a master's to become a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). I almost switched my major at Lamar from criminal justice to clinical mental health counseling. At the time, online Ph.Ds in CJ from non-profit universities were limited to Nova Southeastern. So, I was contemplating pursuing a Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision if I went the LPC route. However, I've been fighting the desire to go for another degree. Although I've seen some juvenile justice positions in Texas (one of my desired states) requiring LPC, LMFT, or LCSW, I think counseling and social work are just too low paying to invest my time and money gaining the education and completing the rigorous licensure requirements. I can't see myself spending another 30 months getting a counseling degree and meeting all the supervised work requirements that go with becoming licensed.

If you're trying to change fields, you can go and try to get that third masters. It's a pretty good program, you can see if it suits your needs. If you think it will help you get into the Forensic Security side of things, it would help with your current career and future possible positions.

    Everyone dies

(it used to be that "death and taxes" thing but we know that not everyone pays taxes.)

I received a letter of admissions to pursue an M.S. in Governance, Peace and Security at Africa Nazarene University.
    https://www.anu.ac.ke/product/m-sc-governance-peace-and-security/

The program has 14 units (courses) - 9 core units, 4 concentration units, and a thesis.

    The concentrations are:
    *Governance
    *Peace & Conflict
    *Security Management

I'm not sure which concentration I'll choose yet, maybe Governance, if my career leans toward juvenile justice policy. Otherwise, I'll select Security Management because the courses are basically homeland security courses. I already completed two such courses at Lamar, so with these four, I might be qualified to teach homeland security courses as well.

Students outside of Africa pay 20% more. So, this is the breakdown of what I'll pay with the 20% included.

    One time fees:
(Caution, Student ID, Orientation, Levy) -
    KSH 7320 ($72.30)

    Each semester:
    Registration fee: KSH 1200 ($11.85)
    ANUSO*: KSH 600 ($4.94)
    Per unit - KSH 15450 ($183.12) x 13 units
    Thesis - KSH 84000 ($829.76)

So, it will cost me just around $3,400.

My goal is to earn a degree, diploma, or certificate from every continent, and South America will be the only one left.

    KSH = Kenyan Shilling
*ANUSO - Africa Nazarene University Student Organizations

So, I was admitted to Suffolk University to pursue the Professional Certificate in Restorative Justice Practices. They didn't consider me for a scholarship even though I have a 4.0 GPA for my MSCJ and a 4.0 GPA in my Ph.D. program after 33 credits. I kindly declined their offer. I'm not about to spend $7,200 on a certificate. I've decided not to waste my money pursuing any more degrees or certificates. I won't pursue Shoreline's certificate in child advocacy study either nor Africa Nazarene.

I think it's best to focus on how I can achieve my career goals in juvenile justice without pursuing all these qualifications.

No one needs more than one Master's!

...says the guy who just earned his second). Do whatever makes sense to you. Did Dr. Robert McGee need all his 12 doctorates, multiple Master's, a CPA and a JD? No he didn't. He's still awesome for this achievement.
