I am surprised that APT College is not longer accredited. Seemed like they had a good thing going, similar to CIE. The other school . . . I didnt know too much about them. https://www.deac.org/Public-Notices/Accreditation-Actions.aspx Michael
Southwest was originally an Arizona school teaching hypnosis. They moved to Louisiana, then dropped the hypnosis courses, changing their focus to business and were authorized to offer some associates and bachelor's degrees. I have no idea what happened here. Their web-page is currently "under construction." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Southwest_University_(Louisiana)
Even a little school with minimal staffing needs a certain number of students in order to remain in operation. With all the online competition these days a little school has to have some real niche offerings or some other special appeal in order to sustain itself. So in this case, one question might be, "Why would someone get a Business degree from Southwest when the LSU system has a better brand and some of the lowest RA prices?"
I'm guessing their business model was good enough . . . once upon a time. Times have changed and those days would seem to be gone.
Although there was some part-time staff, Southwest was, I believe, very much a one-man operation . . . and when founder Reg Sheldrick died a few years ago, there may have been no one to take it over. (I visited thence, in Louisiana. 3 or 4 room office, but there was no one there but Sheldrick at the time of my visit.)
