Under 50K/year with my Bachelors degree. That said, I'm at least working in my field of study, however unlucrative it is. Even with my master's degree completed, I'd still have to work serveral years before crossing the 50k mark.. yikes. Public service is for the birds!

Are you working in your degree field? Yes - IR
Do you work several jobs to make that income? No
Self employed or work for others? For others

  3. My salary is inflated. I make 100k+ but only due to the location of employment. I'm just doing this for a little while to have a nice cushion for when I start my firm.

I work in my degree field. Current salary is 70K. I'd trade some of that money to be happier.

I am considering a substantial pay cut to be happier.

It's difficult to put a price tag on your quality of life. Although I make over 70K per year (base salary) I would gladly trade it for another position I would enjoy doing more for $38K per year. Unfortunately for me, the $38K per year job is no longer an opinion for me no matter how bad I want it.

Weird, I'd trade happiness for more money. I can put up with anything for 8-10 hours a day if the money is right.

But when the business travel, pressure, and stress effects the quality of life the money become secondary.

IT Professional, Degrees and City and Guilds awards etc. Working in World Wide Engineering and Professional Services for leading High Tech company as a Practice Manager. I had higher income 12 years ego then today. But I did heavy travel then.
Also then everything was cheaper (besides Real Estate and Gold).
Not complaining. At this point my experience and Vendor Certifications are more attractive to the employers then degrees.
I rarely travel and 75% telecommute. Have good quality family life.

Poor pay. I have a truly wonderful job that I enjoy going to each day but I don't make that much money. However, I made a lot of money for a number of years previous to my career change and got my house paid off and knew what I was getting into going into the teaching profession back in 2001, so I can't complain. Plus, it's hard to put a price tag on a job you love.
