That's why we mods are here; to keep the board pleasant for those who truly wish to exchange information and learn from each other. We remove those who attack others, who post spam, who engage in trolling, who engage in shilling, harass others and do various other things that make other boards much less useful and pleasant. We don't discourage differing opinions, heated debates or even polite accusations, but we are all over personal attacks. We ban several members each day, most of them we ban are individuals who join only to attempt to spam our board or use it for advertising in some other way; only a few get banned for bad behavior.

So if you believe that someone is doing any of those things, click on the triangle with the exclamation point in it, just below each post, and report it to us. There is really not even a reason to get upset, we certainly don't. We wait until we are sure of nefarious motives and then we get rid of people who violate our Terms of Service (TOS) You will find our TOS on the Distance Learning Discussions page.

Actually, the TOS Agreement can be found on many (but not all) of the sub-forums.

I will make sure to read them and to remember to report offensive posts. I appreciate everything thats been done for me. As I've seen older posts Ive noticed certain people have been banned in the past for bad behavior and disrespectful disagreements with Mods. So I know to not take it personally. I will just report and move on. My new motto :D

I apologize if my responses to your initial posts were less-than-cordial. Your initial posts raised a bunch of red flags in my mind and I leaped before I looked. Welcome to DI and good luck with your studies.

The end result of this thread is a positive outcome

I am very happy that this thread has resulted in a positive outcome. Some of the old timers here also made the same mistake before they realized their mistake and changed direction for good. Everyone makes a mistake once in a while. The difference between Arizona State and Schiller International is like day and night.

I notice from your signature line that you are now going for Arizona State U, correct? Did you decide to drop Schiller? Was it something we said?

Yes, it was EVERYTHING you guys said. lol I was actually given links and info about several very well known, RA, state colleges. When I saw ASU was on the list, it was a done deal for me. I've always loved Arizona State. But I had NO IDEA they had actual online degrees. I thought maybe a few online courses but not actual degrees. Once I saw that, and the price, I was sold. Leaving Schiller was easy then. lol

Wow, that sure makes you a lousy shill for Schiller. It would be especially gratifying if the guy who accused you in such a nasty way would come back after his ban and apologize. Not gonna hold my breath on that one.

Glad we could help. Several years ago, the members on this board steered me away from U of Phoenix in much the same way they steered you away from Schiller. Nothing wrong with either school, but there were certainly better choices available for less money.

We got it. Stop with the redundant posts.

Instead, how about explaining why a school based in the US isn't accredited by an American accreditation agency and went abroad?

If you apply to a distance learning university who has no had any type of bad press and is not giving out degrees ,like rabbits mating? I will not say this 100%, but you do have a large chance of obtaining a job. I know someone who received a Psychology degree from a non-reputable university. This person is in Alabama with a private practice and member of seven insurance panels and doing extremely well (self-educated practically). You also have universities such as Atlantic International, Bircham, American University of Psychology, Westbrook, and many others who have been around for a long time. They are not scams, because you do need to study! They are not accredited by any single accreditation body anywhere. Even though, there credits are not transferable or accepted by other universities? If you complete the Bachelors, Masters, and Doctoral degree in these universities you will be able to practice Psychology in most states. You may be required to take one or two classes more? But you will be allow to sit for the exam!
