Ph.D. or Ed.D. Program- Need Some Advice

    As always, I agree (especially the part when you said I am correct :) ).

    On a funny side note. I just submitted a paper at a "teaching" conference, as I did some research on business school students. It was rejected, as it was found I "did not have the expertise to adress the issues, so the paper did not fit the conference", since I was a DBA in the Business school..... ha ha.

    How strange!! I present at 4-6 conferences each year and the presentation proposals are "blind" reviewed, so the reviewer does not know who submitted the proposal. I have reviewed hundreds of conference proposals for several different conferences and would never think of rejecting a proposal for something as irrelevant as the degree title held by the presenter. Now, if the proposal itself was inappropriate for the conference, that, of course, is another thing.

    I would not let it bother you. In almost any discipline, you can find any number of conferences. Go ahead and find another and we will be interested to hear how your presentation went.
