    Dennis was a pretty good guy ... he had a master's in church history and he liked Nationsuniversity and I still liked NU back when they had an MRS in Church History.

    The first time I recieved any attentioon from the trolls (and attention from the trolls means that you are a somebody in the dl world) I was mention along with good ol' DR himself. Said the troll, "Ted Heiks and Dennis Ruhl are a couple of peckerheads"

    I wasn't hanging around DL circles back then. But my personal favorite internet "celebrity" was the Rev. Dr. Leland Milton Goldblatt. Back in the late 90's early 00's I used to pop into Universal Life Church's newsgroup. He (or the people who made him up) was hilarious.

    It was really my first exposure to diploma mills as the good Dr. Goldblatt notably had something like 50 doctorates from the most disreputable schools around (and a bunch of others that "he" probably made up).
