I don't mind saying that I have mixed feelings about the death penalty. It's a sticky debate and I don't mean to open it up but I find myself thinking that the world would be a better place without that guy in it.
I also have mixed feelings and wavered over the years but came out against. For every high-profile case of someone clearly deserving it there are x number of low-profile cases beyond general awareness. For the low-profile cases, were the police given time for a complete investigation? If so then did they do a thorough investigation? Does the prosecutor give a crap about justice or just about having another scalp to his/her credit? Is the judge worthy of being a judge or just another political hack? You could say that I have reservations.
