I found this on a web page for a particular program (non DL) that is offered at Texas A&M University. I thought it was very true and thought I'd share for others to keep in mind. "Students should remember that being awarded a degree and obtaining an education are not the same thing." I agree with this 100%.
I agree as well. The word "educate" has its roots in the latin word "educo", which means to develop from within; to educe and to draw out; to grow through the law of use. Someone may have gotten a degree but if this hasn't occurred they have not gotten an education. Sideman JD
