Some people are interested in obtaining jobs teaching online classes. Which academic areas offer the most opportnities? Business? Math? Ornithology?
Some of you are already doing this. Some are interested in this idea. Which might be the best bets?

The answer from someone with zero experience in this subject (but who is also interested), is that the academic areas with the most online offerings (business, psychology, information technology, health, etc) are probably the areas with the most job offerings. I assume someone who's actually doing this can give a more enlightened response. Of course, with that in mind, it is not secret that ornithology will always be in high demand in online academic circles. :p

I teach computer applications but healthcare, accounting, finance, math and english are safe bets. After I complete my PhD in Business, I plan to my gard certificate in history. I am qualified to teach business admin and computers and plan to complete my 18 credits in finance and 18 credits in healthcare as I work on those masters degrees.

    Hope this helps.

IT has been a pretty good bet. It's also a natural format for distance learning as most IT students already have familiarity with computers and other CBTs.
