Recently, Washington Institute for Graduate Studies came up with a new website. I think the school is serious in going after the national accreditation.

Unless things have changed, if they go after DETC accreditation, they'll have to drop their doctoral programs, and it seems like that's a major part of their offerings.

And of course, a nice website isn't in any way correlated with the quality of the offerings. Monticello U, one of the more blatant frauds, eventually rolled out a very impressive looking site, and Ratchford U, which was operated out of a single wide in North Carolina, ripped page-for-page the site of the legitimate Judson U.

Based on some recent DETC accreditation of doctorate offering schools (http://www.degreeinfo.com/showthread.php?t=29879) the Doctor of Taxation (D. Tax) should be acceptable but they will have to drop the Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Taxation.

    DETC allows only professional doctorates.

What they don't mention on the new website is that they lost permission to operate in Utah and "moved" to now unregulated California and there new California home is an executive suite.

So was Warren National University, but seriously which accreditation they wish to obtain? As other mention they will have to makes lots and lots of changes (assuming DETC). Still interesting that they are offering a PhD in Taxation.
