Curious if anyone has thoughts. Regent is "supposedly" evangelical but seems kinda "woke"... VST seems totally "woke". Both have DL offerings.
Regent probably a better choice. But it is Canada, pretty much everything is woke. What passes for conservative in Canada or Evangelical (like in the UK) would seem rather moderate to liberal in the United States (especially on Social Issues).
Is there a specific credential you're looking into? You may want to see what courses that they offer in the "certificate, diploma, or degree bundle" is more your liking. If one institution has courses that interest you more, and the cost of credits is affordable/appealing, I suggest that option.
One issue that is being debated in Canada is scriptural inerrancy. Specifically, how can Jesus be perfect and the Bible inerrant if he didn't give a land acknowledgment before delivering the Sermon on the Mount? (sarcasm intended). Many theological schools appear to be adopting continental / neo-marxist philosophy. Many / some (e.g. William Lane Craig, the Catholic Bishop Barron) see this as a perversion. I agree. It isn't as much as being "liberal" but not being "woke"... one can be liberal and not "woke". As was suggested, it seems to be Canada is becoming a wasteland of woke-ness. Although the Evangelical school at the University of Toronto looks maybe less so. I was looking at the West Coast.
