Furball, with respect to your concern about having an MBA that will have been unused for six years, have you considered the possibility that, upon MBA completion, you might ask your superior officers (or whomever else may be responsible for such things) to assign you to duties related to finance or marketing or human resources (or such other sub-discipline of business as may strike your fancy)? Then, you can come out of the military with an MBA plus experience!

After 20 years in the military, an officer or senior NCO should have loads of experience to go with the MBA. A person in this position has realistically lead large numbers of people and managed high dollar resources. The MBA is not sitting unused.

Airtorn: Please note that the thread-starter himself, by his choice of thread title, was the first to characterize the MBA as "unused for six years."
