I have an MBA from a non-RA state approved school (hind sight is a wonderful thing). I would like to obtain an RA or DETC accredited credential. Last year, I enrolled in an RA distance university and received 6 hours (not much but every little bit helps) of transfer credit from my non RA degree. Unfortunately, I had to drop the course I was taking due to an unexpected increase in professional committments. I'm now ready to return to school again but am considering a different RA university. I've already confirmed the new university will not accept transfer credits directly from my non RA program. Is there some creative way to get these transfer credits re-transfered i.e via a credit bank or something ?

    Thanks

Not by that method. Also, you probably won't find any accredited schools that will put in their literature that they'll transfer in credits from an unaccredited school. But the world of higher education is a competitive one; it's a buyer's market. You may find yourself shopping around a bit, but you might find a school willing to make an exception in your case.

Another alternative is to do an MBA--or similar degree--at a school that will allow you to undertake independent study and at your own pace. That way, you could get through your subjects must faster by relying on your previous knowledge and by demonstrating that knowledge via your learning contract/agreement. Finally, you could consider taking an MBA by self-paced coursework. Hypothetically, you'd be able to get through the coursework much faster than someone who's never studied business at the graduate level. That alone may be worth more towards your goal than any credits you managed to slip in.
