    Hello all,
Is anyone actually attending the University of Leicester currently? If so, I would love to hear about your experience there. Also, do they require that you travel there for a number of face to face symposiums?
    Thanks again everyone,
    GBS

According to their website, depending on which doctoral program you are in, you will have to travel there 2-3 times.

I just read that. That really blows! They had several programs there that looked GREAT!!! I cant swing any more trips for symposiums personally... The wife may kill me... With that, does anyone know if any all online PhDs in Criminology or Public Administration that I wont have to auction a kidney to pay for? I only have one left! L:deal::deal:OL...

You probably aren't going to find any programs any cheaper than Leicester or Valdosta unless you go with one of the South African universities.

Not for the Doctorate in Social Science (in Human Resource Development) offered by the Centre for Labour Market Studies. You never have to go to Leicester.

I would imagine other doctoral programs have some flexibility, but you'd have to ask and negotiate. YMMV.

"Where can I find a Ph.D. that's cheap, easy, fast, doesn't have a dissertation requirement, no residencies, and I never have to leave house or engage other humans?"

They've got a name for that. Couple of 'em.
