    Hi,

I have a student claiming to have a bachelors as a result of significant amount of classwork from United States International University. A web search revealed www.usiu1.org, which looks like it could be connected to organizations apparently connected to Mr. Edward Reddeck (the same one as identified by Mr. Bear in his book??): www.aff1.org and www.gcg1.net and www.sicx.net.

Does anyone have insights about the "procedures" at USIU? Could students actually have completed significant assignments at this place?

    Best wishes

It would appear they have appropriated the name "USIU." I'm not so sure Alliant University doesn't still own it, though.

    Your link doesn't work, BTW.

    Dear MineralHH

There seems to be nothing positive one can say about this place. But it seems you can do anything in Wyoming.

I'd be especially interested in your notion that it might be Edward Reddeck, and wonder what leads you to suspect that. I've heard nothing from or about Reddeck since he got out of prison (third time, I believe) for his Coast University, 6 or 7 years ago.

    Thanks.

These guys never seem to give up, do they? Is it possible they think that if they keep trying, sooner or later they will become legitimate?:D

    Dear Mr. Bear,

When I visited the website of USIU, I clicked on the banners on top of the site (see the source code of the page to see that these are "hardwired") They lead to the 3 sites as listed in my first posting in this thread.

One of the sites aff1.org is registered to:
    Registrant Name:Edward Reddeck
    Registrant Organization:SIC1
    Registrant Street1:1156 Central Ave#400
    Registrant Street2:
    Registrant Street3:
    Registrant City:La
    Registrant State/Province:Ca
    Registrant Postal Code:90021
    Registrant Country:US
    Registrant Phone:+1.3239607634
    Registrant Phone Ext.:
    Registrant FAX:
    Registrant FAX Ext.:
    Registrant Email:[email protected]

Mr. Brunton of Hawaii identified ASS in a trial against Anglo-American University also as connected to Edward Reddeck.
In fact the webpage states that also on:
    http://www.aff1.org/whyaff.html

If you now look at the e-mail adresses used for registration of the other domains, the layout of these pages and the "banner connection" they surely seem connected.

What I wanted to know was whether substantial work could have been done at this place as a student claimed. I guess that the answer is a "maybe not".

    Best wishes

There used to be a regionally accredited United States International University but it merged with the California School of Professional Psychology to form the Alliant International University in 2001. www.alliant.edu

If your student is talking about this one, then it's legitimate.

Our institution applies scholarship to solve social problems and has an abiding concern for diversity and internationalism. Formed in July 2001 by the combination of the California School of Professional Psychology (CSPP) and United States International University (USIU), Alliant is an independent, not-for-profit institution of higher education with a history distinguished by innovation.

Alliant is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC). The American Psychological Association accredits our eight doctoral psychology programs. The doctoral PsyD program in Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT) at Alliant's San Diego and Irvine campuses was the first in the nation to be accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Marriage and Family Therapy Education (COAMFTE).
