Is it possible to pursue two degrees at unisa simultaneously? I am interested in the Thd in Christian Spirituality (the Spirituality of Political Theology) and the research Master's degree in history (area of interest: the political liberation movement in South Africa).
I agree. It seems the topics are too far apart to link them into something you could write for both. Better to simply follow one and see if the other is still of interest later. Brad
Not necessarily. What if both the master's thesis and the doctoral dissertation focus upon one particular theologian that was active in the South African liberation movement, with the master's thesis focusing on his political activities and the doctoral dissertation focusing on the theology that guided those activities?
That could work. But it would depend on the amount of time to dedicate to that much research and writing. As well, does the university permit this and would the advisors consider such a request? It would need reference to the university rules really. Brad
I advise you to focus on the Th.D. and then tackle the Masters in History in the future, if you have any patience and/or energy leftover. Dave
