I have a former co-worker who is doing the Mitchell-Hamline program. Were I considering it, I would be concerned with the expense, not only for tuition and fees, but also travel time and living expenses while on campus. As to the intellectual property "focus", there's nothing wrong with that so long as the basic core is covered. Law students frequently concentrate on one or two areas of study in the second half of doing a traditional J.D. The biggest problem, of course, is whether and where this degree (regardless of "focus") will be salable for a salary sufficient to justify the investment. I don't know what this school is charging but it is probably pretty terrifying.
