For inventing a bulletproof backpack (I don't remember if I ever wanted to invent anything when I was in my teens) and for finding a positive correlation between intellectual humility and psychopathy... I wonder how much it would cost to create my own 'bullet proof' gear? (I don't think I need it, but wanted to find out what the cost would be for something like that). These two seem to find their interests and trying to put a more positive spin on things, hope they get to tag along with the other finalists to the science fair without any 'glitches'... Let the science fair begin! I wonder what new gadgets and gizmos are going to be showcased! I'm not sure, but I am more into that than a backpack.. I liked how they defined "intellectual humility.". I was struggling with the idea of psychopaths being humble about anything. The presumption, however, seems to be that all, or most, school shooters are psychopaths. I don't know if that's the case, especially considering how psychopathy is defined as an adult neurotype not applicable to people younger than age 18. (Unless the definition has changed.)
Short answer: It hasn't changed. Diagnosis starts at 18. Symptoms, however, start much earlier. Google: "Although sociopathy and psychopathy cannot be diagnosed until someone is 18, one of the hallmarks of both conditions is that they usually begin in childhood or early adolescence. Usually, the symptoms appear before the age of 15, and sometimes they are present early in childhood."
