    TRUTH Social.

I'd dispense with the translation and just call it PRAVDA.

I wonder how long it'll take to get shut down (at least temporarily) or is it being hosted outside the US?

His banishment from the major platforms means he and his followers have been reduced from shouting AT liberals to shouting ABOUT liberals. That can't be as much fun.

I will be interested to see how next week's Virginia Governor election turns out. If the GOP candidate Youngkin loses as I kinda think he will, Democrats will say that it's because Virginians reject Trumpism while Trump will say that Youngkin lost because he didn't wholeheartedly embrace Trump and the Big Lie. Trump DID endorse Youngkin I believe?

He did, but Youngkin didn't exactly embrace it. He's trying to walk a line between normally horrid and the new horrid.

I don't blame him. He needs the rural base to show up at the polls or he's through, but he also needs swing voters in the suburbs, and knows that Larry Hogan Republicans still have a chance with them in Virginia, whereas Donald Trump Republicans simply do not.

I do. He's dishonest and panders to the worst America has to offer in order to win an election.

But if Youngkin does pull it off, he will have shown that a GOP politician can win without Trump. That would be a major political development.

I (slightly) disagree. I think it will prove that the GOP can with WITH Trump. And yes, it will be a major political development. (Trump is all over this election, as he will be in across the nation in 2022.)

Agreed, the question is how strongly the anti-Trump vote is activated versus the Trump vote. The 2020 election proved the anti-Trump vote larger but off-year elections usually sees a bigger drop off of Democratic than Republican voters. It will be interesting to see which of those two competing currents is stronger.

Usually. But the Trump Phenomenon makes the ordinary rules of the game less certain.
