Yes, I guess if you had to rate degree mills, LaSalle would come in higher on the "prestige" scale, considering they did eventually clean up their act somewhat. [IMG]

Dr. Crump also has her bio and Ph.D. prominently listed as:

    Tammy Crump, PhD, RRT:
Tammy grew up in Stanly County and graduated from North Stanly High School. She completed SCC’s one-year diploma Respiratory Therapy Program. While working at Presbyterian Hospital in Charlotte, she completed her Associate Degree at Central Piedmont Community College, obtaining experience in both adult and neonatal critical care.

Tammy has served as Program Director for the Respiratory Therapy Program since 1988. Her educational degrees include a Bachelors degree from Appalachian State and a Masters degree from NC A&T, and a PhD from Cambridge State University. In 1993, Tammy was one of five semi-finalist in the state for the NC Community College/First Union Excellence in Teaching Award. She also received the NISOD Excellence in Teaching Award in 2000.

Ms. Crump’s office is located in the Eddins Building, room 120. She has one daughter, Millie.

What I do not like here is that not only are mill credentials being presented but they are also in the College's Allied Health fields for both Eudy and Crump.

My understanding as to why La Salle University in Philadelphia never interfered or tried to close down the LaSalle University in Mandeville was two-fold--one, that the Christian Brothers (a Catholic order) who operate La Salle in Philly felt to try and go after the other one would somehow make it legitimate so they ignored it; secondly that the "space" between the "La" and the "Salle" (La Salle versus LaSalle) would show that they were two separate entities. I'll check with someone I know who works for La Salle in Philly and if I get a better (or more accurate) answer I'll get back to you.

And in the case of Mrs. Crump, her other credentials are excellent, even receiving the teaching award. Then, to add the CSU degree to a solid resume--I don't understand how anyone with such a resume could not know that the CSU route was, shall I say, less-than-wonderful.

I agree as it tarnishes an otherwise very good resume. I was pondering the motivation for the CSU degree meself. I wonder if she was thinking that this was a way for her to achieve degree completion based on her work. However, someone in education who must hold up standards for students seems to show a lapse in judgement with the CSU selection.

Just a thought. How do you look on the internet for TCU Resumes from people or any other scam college for that matter? I was curious to see how many people are doing this. I love this website and now I am hooked! Thanks everyone for the great info!

Trinity is harder to search for than most, since the name is used by more than 20 legitimate colleges and universities worldwide. An advanced search at google.com, especially trying a variety of key words (include "South Dakota" for instance) can be helpful.

Let us know if you come up with some gems.

Is it possible that some people that went through degree mills - really thought they were getting legitimate credit for life experince?????? I mean when I first started looking I had no idea that mills existed - although I quickly learned about accredidation. Europe Universities are tougher I had several conversations with a nice man at Warnebrough who almost had me convinced about the legitimacy of his school - sounded OK - I write a dissertation over three four years with an advisor.... Thank God I believe in collecting all the info. Maybe others aren't fibbers just fell victim to a scam - or think the degree in really worth while......
