I have seen many threads over the years be removed (actually probably 15 I would estimate). After the removal of these threads, there is always a follow up of "Why-did-the-thread-get-removed" thread. I truely don't think anybody has those questions, just want to keep those topics going that the moderators are obviously trying to preclude for a host of reasons. I think that we as a group should be respectful of their decision, as many other forums have been threatened with lawsuits, etc., I understand their caution.
Thanks for your support, Han. A few months ago, I could count on one hand the number of threads that I made disappear (we don't delete them, just move them to a non-public forum). Lately, for whatever reason, we've been attacked by shills relentlessly. I've moved more threads in the last few months than I ever have. I guess we should take that as a compliment....the mills are trying to attack us because we've been very successful in exposing them, and therefore cutting into their bottom line.
Having done what Bruce, Bill, and Chip have done (when I was a moderator here a couple years ago), I can attest to two things: 1. Rarely was a thread permanently removed. 2. If it was moved, a lot of careful thought went into the decision. It's a tough job and I'm glad the dynamic trio continue to do it. Tom Nixon
