    Yes, it likely would -depending on how you listed it. The people I know who took the course didn't take it to present it as a mainstream degree and use it as such in a job-search. They have jobs - perfectly good ones, and they seriously wanted to expand their business knowledge - cheaply. They were fully aware it isn't all that helpful when you're knocking on doors. But the knowledge, coupled with experience - yeah, that could be.

    If someone does list this - maybe they should put it in quotes - and list it as "Other training / education -- not with the degree part of their CV. What choice is best? You have to ask yourself what you want - and why you want it.

    The "specific Master" can be presented as a mainstream degree though. The level of recognition entirely depends on each country's legislation and foreign degree evaluation results (see this helpful chart under recognition in other countries;
    https://www.saera.eu/en/differences-between-master-oficial-and-propio/). In my current country of residence (Poland), the Spanish university-specific MBA is roughly comparable to "Studia podyplomowe" (Professional qualification program that ends with the following award: "Certificate of Completion of Postgraduate Studies") and MBAs are never given out as actual degrees by Polish higher education institutions. That way, the presentation dilemma becomes a non-issue. You are perfectly justified in listing the Spanish propio "MBA" title after your name here.

    I am also thinking about doing an evaluation in Canada further down the road, as I may still decide to move back there in the future as a Canadian citizen. (I just did my IEE "document report" evaluation in the U.S. a few weeks ago). Apparently (this may just be an online rumor), the Quebec evaluator (under "Comparative education for studies done outside Quebec") considers it as equivalent to a Canadian Master's degree. However, this would definitely need to be officially confirmed, as I have not seen the specific equivalency document on that one. I prefer to see it with my own eyes.

    Great info, tadj. And if you decide to return to Canada, let me be among the first to welcome you back! I didn't realize, till now, that the MBA was not among the degrees awarded by Polish universities. I did know about DBAs, through the old discussion re: degree-looking papers with DBA on them, awarded by University of Dąbrowa Górnicza, in conjunction with some Swiss outfit.

    Anyway, great info on foreign evaluations. And I still maintain, the two programs - a propio or the Power MBA are both valid choices - as long as nothing is misrepresented. There's no reason why a person can't have either or both if they want. Or they can just read a book that says MBA on it, as I did. I got some knowledge I wanted. And I'm not claiming it's what it isn't, so... :)

    Or, they could go to Hellenic American U. and earn a (gasp!) Regionally Accredited MBA for $3,000! Something for everyone!

    I actually like things like this - concise, digestible learning and networking. But only if someone else is paying for it. ;-)
