We shouldn’t work less simply because it allows us to be better workers. We should work less because it allows us to be better humans.

"Forty-year-old Josh Epperson works 10 to 15 hours a week and makes about $100,000 a year. After more than a decade in the corporate world and seven years working at a global brand consultancy, he has spent the past three years running what he calls “The Experiment.” The Experiment has three precepts. First, Epperson accepts only work that he finds meaningful. Second, he accepts only work that pays well (his rate is $130 an hour). Third, he never works more than 20 hours a week. Rather than leverage his expertise for more money, as is customary for most ambitious professionals, he’s chosen to leverage his expertise for more time."

Not everyone has Josh Epperson's skill set and background. (That's part of the reason there are so many people grinding through their degree studies via the Internet.) Some few will catch up to Mr. Epperson's accomplishments and knowledge. Maybe then, they'll then be able to price their work at $130 an hour or more. The rest? Many won't have even a faint hope of that kind of money - and quite a few love their field of work, or aspire to one - that doesn't pay nearly as much. Should they quit what they desire? What they love?

This is a solution for a small subset of people. And a good one, for those well=qualified professionals who choose it. Never going to be a mass phenomenon - too few people have this as a viable choice. But wishful thinking? Pie-in-the-sky? Yep. that's always popular. :)

And why do people have to drag "moral" into this. Is it immoral now to work a regular week? Quick, someone tell the Republican Moral Police....!

DeSantis will have a fit! And how will SCOTUS eventually rule on this...?
