From the Pentagon to the Kremlin, new allegations against former President Donald Trump are emerging almost by the hour as a flood of books and investigative pieces hit the marketplace.

It has reached the point where the Trump headlines are starting to crowd out the Biden news, fueled by the former president’s own denials, denunciations and continued claims of a rigged election.

After all, when it comes to clicks and ratings, it’s hard for Groundhog Day-type chatter about infrastructure talks to compete with sensational accusations and outraged denials. And more members of Trump’s inner circle, with their own reputations to protect, seem willing to spill to reporters now that he’s out of office.

Still, it seems like many journalists are going to spend the next four years writing about the last four years.

Because the level of graft, corruption, ineptitude, lying, and illegality was unprecedented in our history. Not.Even.Nixon.

Not even trying to express an opinion that's not cut-and-paste from Faux. Sad.

Try to pay attention to the topic. As revealed by documents from US Dept. of Justice, Trump DID attempt to engineer a coup after the elections. So yeah, not a hypothetical, no Kremlin documents, no media conspiracy. Trying to use federal executive to pressure GOP state legislatures to overturn the will of the American people. Worse. Than. Nixon. And 73% of your fellow GOP cultists are OK with that. This is scary.

I guess to be critical of the latest exploitation and explosion on the subject.
Obviously many on the right see it as continuation of the media 6 year attack on Trump and a fear that he will run again for an office?
Others say the other way around, nothing generates ratings and money so they need to go to their favored target to get sensational and sell to public what they can.
Others are convinced they are stopping corruption and lying, saving democracy etc.

Well, it's now August 12th. Joe Biden is still president.

I guess it's time to move the date again.

It's still August 12th. Joe Biden is still president. Which do you REALLY think will change first?

I think it may have an effect on how the future elections will be handled?

So far there is no credible evidence that rampant fraud occurs at all in American elections, much less that it occurred in 2020 without yet being proved — despite all of the looking.

That's what I've always said. But not in the way you mean it.

There's credible evidence Trump tried to use Justice Department and Republican co-conspirators in both Congress and state legislatures to try and steal the elections. I would really want something be done about that. That would really help with confidence in elections 2022 and beyond.

What emails show or confirm was not a secret that Trump pressured Justice Department and Republican politicians etc.
The Associated Press reported late last year on the effort within the Trump administration to pressure government departments and it employees.
Also Trump’s chief of staff, asked about investigating allegations of voter fraud.
When Official tried to pressure staffers to give up sensitive information about election fraud and other matters she could relay to the White House. She was banned from the building.
As far as it understood all the pressure attempts were unsuccessful.
The JD pushed back. Rich Donoghue, the acting deputy attorney general, sent a note to Rosen that said, “pure insanity.”
Rosen said Trumps attorney was “insulted” by the answer.

“Asked if I would reconsider, I flatly refused, said I would not be giving any special treatment to Trumps attorney or any of his ‘witnesses,’ and re-affirmed yet again that I will not talk to Trumps attorney about any of this,” Rosen wrote.
It all picked on Jan 6th attack that lead to more then 400 arrests and the largest Justice Department prosecution in history.

What you describe are crimes, done by Trump and a handful of his accomplices. That they were unsuccessful is immaterial.

Correct, attempting to rob a bank is still a crime even if unsuccessful. Attempting to murder someone is still a crime, even if unsuccessful. Attempting to over throw the duly elected government is still a crime, even if unsuccessful.

But this info was always known, it wasn't a secret.
Maybe it was left to be used as we get close to elections.
    Im speculating here.

Obviously the other side will claim they were trying to stop a crime.
    They still claim that.

Detailed info? No, it is based on notes released by DoJ last week.
