The Fort Hays State University Website is giving me a Headache

I have a simple question, "What is the limit on transfer credit allowed for both degrees and certificates?" You won't find it on their website. The government has nothing on them when it comes to State Secrets. They want you to enroll first and deal with a Transfer Analyst, for such an established school they are acting a little millish.

Does anyone here know the answer. I'm basically interested as it applies to certificates, looking for a little resume enhancement.

    Thanks,

I did find some - at least for degrees. It's usually under "requirements" for each degree. I looked at an MFA which stated a maximum of 9 transfer credits -- and for another example, here's a Bachelor's, indicating at least 30 credits must be earned at FHSU. (See Section 8 - BGS requirements) Degree Requirements

The certificates I looked at were mostly 9-12 units - 3 or 4 courses. No transfer credit mentioned, so maybe FHSU wants those done in-house as there are not many courses and their name is going on the Cert. Just a guess - anyone please correct me if I'm wrong.

Another thing you might do, re certificates. Every certificate page lists the person responsible at FHSU, including an email address. Maybe a quick question by email - "Is there possibility of transfer credit for any courses in this program?" would provide a definitive answer.

Thanks Johann, I agree an email to a department member may provide a better alternative than jumping through hoops with the Registrar.
