Yes, Dr. Thomas Heward Edward John Bear. (I'm really showing my age here...this is a TV reference for you younger folks.)
Oh damn. And all along I've been thinking it was really Dr. John Bearsford Tipton, which would account for never having seen a picture of him. Oh well.
I saw him on Good Morning America. I was very pleased because usually you have this image of someone and when you actually see them they look much different than what you imagined. In this case I thought he looked just like I imagined. So if you're imagining the same guy that I imagined then he looks just like that. I hope I've been helpful.
It's time I make a confession on John's behalf; he's actually a car with highly developed AI (a la KITT), as this picture conclusively proves. Cheers, ------------------ Tom Head www.tomhead.net
I stumbled across a small picture of Dr. Bear at the following url: http://www.convergemag.com/Publications/CNVGOct99/Bear/InClose.shtm Mark
http://www.convergemag.com/Publications/CNVGOct99/Bear/JohnBear.jpg I pictured a skinny man with brown hair!
Perhaps a slightly earlier photo of him would meet you expectations: http://www.mgm.com/cgi-bin/c2k/store_hires.html&i=/img2k/merchandise/XCC0008-hires.jpg
Me Again wrote, I pictured a skinny man with brown hair! John Bear replies: Inside every fat man with grey hair, there is a skinny man with brown hair longing to emerge. --John Bear, who at least weighs 22 pounds less than 2 months ago, but isn't shopping for the Grecian Formula yet
It wasn't all yak liver and sheep eyeballs. A friend went into a hotel kitchen, just to see what it looked like, and there was a sign on the door leading back into the dining room. He asked what it said, but people just hemmed and hawed. He took a digital picture and afterwards asked a native-speaker what it said. It said PLEASE DO NOT TELL OUR GUESTS WE ARE SERVING THEM DOG AND MONKEY. IT WILL ONLY UPSET THEM.
