I wanted to thank everyone who has contributed to this board over the last few years for providing information for those of us who have been looking for timely info about nontraditional and distance learning opportunities. My wife has decided to complete her B.S. in Business Administration from Thomas Edison State College and truthfully, if it were not for this discussion forum, I doubt she'd even had learned of the opportunity to use her numerous college credits at one single school like TESC. I had never even heard of "The Big 3" until I discovered this discussion board and was very happy to learn of the opportunities for my wife to complete her degree through one of those options. She originally was going to finish her bachelor's degree at the University of Washington or Central Washington University after earning a DTA associate degree at a community college in Washington State. However, when I was transferred from Seattle to Indianapolis last year her plans had to be put on hold because I could not help out around the house and take care of the kids while I was in Indy and they were still out in Washington finishing up the school year. We've looked into the options in Indiana since they moved out here earlier this summer and she'd have to take additional courses in order to meet the residency requirements and that is one of the main reasons she chose TESC. She has been working on a couple different LSU independent study courses over the last year and will be enrolling in a class at Indiana Tech next month. She also will be completing one or two additional required classes at Indiana Tech or IvyTech Community College; there is an Indiana Tech campus 3 miles from our home and she works right next to an Ivy Tech campus in NE Indy. Needless to say, without having learned of TESC here on this discussion board she wouldn't have this opportunity and would be looking at an additional year or so of coursework and is extremely happy with the opportunity to finish up at TESC. abnrgr275

Tell her congratulations for me!!!!!! What an accomplishment. I am going through a similar situation with my wife right now. She is slowly working towards her BA in liberal studies from TESC. People here having been helping me help her. She just passed DANTES tech writing Saturday. Hopefully by next year, she will have her BA. Take care and good job!!!! Abner
