    John:

    The vast majority of what the 1960s and 1970s stood for was good. Unfortunately, this pernicious idea that everybody should just f... whoever they d... pleae (one use and throw them away and all that) has created huge social problems for this country which first became obvious in the 1980s (my decade). How in the name of peace we have gotten to the point where sex is just a fun thing to do and fatherhood is optional is just beyond me.

    I'm not from San Fran, but I'd probably feel more at home in Waco because (a) it's far more likely that I could find someone who speaks English in Waco; (b) I might even have a few relatives left in Waco; and (c) sometime I'd like to see whether the Branch Dravidian complex ever got its richly-deserved historical marker.
