As in time will you. Just ask Bret Weinstein and Heather Heying.

If bakers can refuse to make wedding cakes for gay couples, then it should be perfectly fine to kick people out of restaurants for their political views.

Rand Paul and many conservatives have said that white restaurants refusing to serve black people was a states' rights issue. Some believe that no government should have gotten involved. So, boohoo to Trump bootlickers being kicked out of restaurants.

The issue of whether or not bakers, or other creators and service providers, should be coerced into using their own hands to create symbolic pieces of art whose message they personally, vehemently, disagree with has yet to be settled in law and bakers have been horribly mistreated by the courts and government officials.

The issue of refusing service to someone whose values a restauranteur is too lazy, small-minded and self-righteous to even attempt to understand has not yet been approached as a matter of law. No restaurant owners have been harmed in the making of this absurd piece of virtue theater.

    Because...?

I don't like Rand Paul's alt reich view points. He's a nasty, nasty man!

Paul was answering a gotcha! question and gave the short answer. The long answer would likely be close to the standard libertarian answer which respects the right of association. I've agreed with that position in theory but not in fact.

I'll attempt stating the libertarian position in saying that a white-only restaurant leaves open the opportunity for a black-only restaurant and an anyone restaurant. If things were that simple then I'd agree with that position. Things were not that simple and the anyone restaurant would not have survived.

That's my short take and I hope it is clear.

It has been settled by the Supreme Court. State laws that were created to protect sexual orientation were deemed unconstitutional in certain circumstances under the freedom of expression argument.

Political ideology is not a protected class. Someone's political beliefs can be against someone's religious beliefs. Religion is a protected class.

Are you saying that gay people have never been harmed by discrimination? What do you think about people who refuse to provide marriage services to interracial couples because it's against their religion?

What do you think is going on with the NFL? The fans have been nothing but too lazy to understand the players' positions. None of them are anti-military. But, the NFL is a private entity. If they want to restrict expression and speech so that the profits keep rolling in, then they can do so.

On another note, Nike sure is doing well with those commercials of that dude that kneels during the national anthem!

Nike is winning both ways by making money on the NFL, and by making money on the player, Colin, to whom the NFL colluded against. That is the Nike, Win-win solution.

America should be bigger than this. Booting customers from ones establishment because you don’t like their politics, race, religion, sex, is so not civil. The problem is that it could get worse.

Did y'all even watch the video? Constituents were questioning and heckling Ted Cruz because they believe Deborah Ramirez and Christine Blasey Ford. What does sexual assault have to do with political intolerance? You may not believe his accusers, but they do.

Is it civil that Ford has been forced out of her home because of death threats? Her neighbors had to raise money to pay for her security.

That's what makes Dr. Ford so believable. Who in their right mind would sign up for things like death threats and such? Nobody in their right mind would. So I more than believe her. She has everything to lose, and nothing to gain.

The problem is polarization. DI political thread is a microcosm of America. You are the exception if you are a Republican and believe Ford. The same for Democrats, you are in the minority if you believe Kavanaugh. So it has nothing to do with believing the truth but what is political expedient.

Not exactly. The Democratic Party has the women vote, so they are intent on keeping it. Did you see how fast they got Al Franken out for doing something minor? He was someone from their own party.

As far as the Kavanaugh fiasco. It will blow up in the face of the republicans in light of the metoo movement. I believe women voters will turn out in droves in protest of the Kavanaugh issue. This will benefit the Dems greatly I believe.

We need more of that more often by both parties
