Tech giants aren't just cutting thousands of jobs — they're making them extinct

    • Tech companies have been slashing thousands of jobs.

    • Thanks to the rise of AI, many of those jobs might never come back.

    • That has far-reaching implications for tech workers and those seeking to work in the industry.

Software is the "cool kid" because it's so visible. Everyone wants to be able to say "look, I helped make the latest version of Photoshop". Nobody think about all the other types of coding jobs in things like hardware and firmware. They're not "cool".

    Nothing new under sun.
I remeber working on cutting age technology in the 80s that basically eliminated number of professions.
Then our systems deployed world wide and dominating the market till mid 90s, to be obsolete and replaced by Mac and Adobe based systems.
And the wheel keep on turning..
