    Re: No excuses...

Is there a difference between campus based and DL complaints?

I have only heard favorable coments from Southern California campus based students.

In comparison to other universities, the level of dissatisfication seems to be relatively high. I believe this to be true since UoP student complaints (reports and comments) at ripoffreport far exceed the complaints listed for any other institution.

It appears so. Many of the education related complaints are filed against primarily online universities.

The College and University complaints are listed here...

Hundreds of complaints. From a school with a quarter of a million students active, with tens of thousands more who are either former or graduates.

You still have not captured the magnitude of the issue, nor can you.

You would want to actually write and ask them. When this came up last year on Degreeinfo, I sent them an e-mail. The response was yes and no. Best to approach them with specifics.

    Excuse

Stop making excuses for substandard schools. There are plenty of institutions with high enrollment figures and ZERO reported complaints. You don't understand that, nor can you.

Ohio State, Penn State, and Michigan State combine for a total one reported complaint. And the one complaint is regarding the Michigan State campus Blimpie. But I guess UoP should be held to a different standard? Doubt it!

Yep, there they are. The second page even contains a complaint about "Essaytown", which is apparently a site that sells completed papers to poor oppressed students who simply cannot bring themselves to write their own papers and must resort to plagiarism and cheating. The complaint appears to be from a juvenile. The nerve of some people! Besides that, do you suppose parents have any clue what their kids are doing on the internet or how the money they're shelling out for junior's education is being spent?

But nevermind, that question is off-topic for the thread, just as is a focus on UoP. But before you suspect there's some kind of conspiracy, I'm not particularly a fan of UoP. My cousin didn't have a great experience with them, he thought they were far too expensive and that the coursework was too easy. But for others they are fine, and I understand it does depend on the particular UoP campus. So much for conspiracy theories.
