After a decade of work, researchers at the Weizmann Institute of Science say they have managed to create stem cell-derived human embryo models outside the uterus.

The advance could help scientists better understand healthy and unhealthy embryonic development. It also has implications for studying the genetics of various organs, the possible growing of organs for transplantation, and the investigation of the effects of pharmaceuticals on embryos.

Well, OK. Good. As long as they don't grow a whole person from the embryo and then "harvest" organs. There are those, of course, who believe destructive testing of an embryo is destructive testing of a human being. Not everyone is going to like the ramifications, here - and that's putting it VERY mildly.

There are many opinions, there are those who say that because it has no brain nor heart ( perhaps no Soul nor Spirit), but potentially can produce one's organs, would this be better or worse than than using pigs or brain dead people as donors ? It would come from "self"; therefore, no or little need for a "lifetime" of amuno suppressants.

It's the best and worst of human traits. Certainly the most troublesome - the ability to construct arguments. Has DeSantis banned these procedures in Florida, yet?
