Southern Baptist Theological Seminary Fully Online PhD in Christian Studies

Southern Baptist Theological Seminary has announced a new PhD in Christian Studies offered fully online. The program combines courses ("seminars") in Biblical and Theological Studies and in Practical Theology. Advertised completion time is 4 years. Applicants should have completed theological coursework at the master's level.

SBTS (also often called "Southern Seminary") already offers the PhD in many concentrations in a "modular" low-residency format with two two-week sessions in Louisville each year, and several other doctorates. The Christian Studies program appears to be its first fully online PhD.
