My argument was fine on its own. But OK - I won't do this again. However, I am not offering an apology. Last words on the subject: It was just jarring, to see that series of misspellings from an educated person. From an early age, I was taught to write correctly - and later, I took writing courses in college and university to improve those skills. The 10-minute timer is a great help, as a revision-space. I use it.

My writing isn't perfect, but I do make a serious effort. To each, his own.

 

Swoonworthy? Pretty good for an ad-hoc invention, Steve. But I've always lived by the adage "Real Men Don't Swoon." I once had a sweatshirt with that logo, IIRC. I thonght swooning was something women did, back in the Victorian era - but only in novels, never in real life.

Swoonworthy - sounds country-specific. India? I can imagine a guy telling his Indian date she looked "swoonworthy."
Her reply: "Oh no, I'm from Maharashtra - Swoonworthy is a thousand miles away.
