Having thought about what I wrote, I've decided that not only is it highly unlikely that any lawyer would agree to take your case based on zero information, but it's foolish to seek an attorney on a discussion board oriented toward education. I'd want a lawyer who was referred to me by someone I knew. I'd want someone near my home, with a good reputation and experience with my type of case. But then, it's your money. You can find your lawyer any way you'd like.

Re: NCU seems to be a rip-off

Doing a search I found a posting by you on
03-06-2002 saying you were: PhD-BA Financial Management, Northcentral University (currently enrolled)

In a posting dated 02-12-2004 you stated:

Looks like something went terribly wrong since then. Since it appears that you have been a student of NCU for at least three years I believe you could really help the rest of us if you could tell us what the problem is. There are people suing other schools that have Web sites detailing their charges.

And did you really think that distance learning fora would be among the sorts of places to find lawyers that like suing schools?

My interpretation was that he posted that comment about a lawyer as an aside comment and was not really expecting to hook up with a lawyer in that manner.

    Hey Carlosb,

Trust me, I know all about Longwood U's stupid policies concerning money. They screw people left and right, especially since they switched from a "college" to a "university" two years ago. I got my degree the first year they switched to university, and thank god I got out then.

Re: NCU seems to be a rip-off

    Noticed that in 05-06-2002 at:http://forums.degreeinfo.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=4540&perpage=30&pagenumber=3

    you posted:

You wanted people to share their UoP lawsuits, I would like for you to share yours if possible. Many people look to Degreeinfo for advice so if you had a bad experience please share.

I am a student at NCU and am pleased so far. But it didn't stop me from mentioning the questionable Hanoi NCU DBA page I found.

    Just my opinion
