aka "The Bad Guy" Razor Ramon. He was 63.

I've unintentionally carved myself a niche on this forum of being the guy who posts wrestling death notices.

I only watch wrestling about 10 or so times a year these days, but it was HUGE for me as a kid and it still holds a big place in my heart. Only twice have I ever grieved the death of a celebrity, and both of them have been wrestlers. This is the second of those times.

Scott Hall was the absolute opitome of the super cool, slicked haired, gold chain wearing, smooth-talking guy well over 6 feet tall with big muscles that every little boy wants to grow up to be. Who I still want to be.

Yes. For every reason you're probably thinking. Concussions. Injuries. Substance abuse. Suicide. The emotional toll of constant life on the road, and the despair of having nothing left when one's career is over.

Scott Hall was an alcoholic for decades, even when he was in his heyday as a performer. He made incredible strides to clean himself up in recent years and was even able to return to wrestling TV for some cameo appearances. He broke his hip some weeks ago in a fall and went in for hip surgery. During the procedure, a blood clot broke loose and made its way to his heart. He suffered 3 heart attacks and was taken off life support a couple of days later.

The same thing could happen to anyone at his age, or even younger quite frankly. However, the toll of cumulative damage to his body over the course of a lifetime would have to be a contributing factor, if not the main cause.
