Well, the frustrations of DL are beginning to set in. I still have not received my new course and my proctor has yet to receive a final exam, mailed more than a week ago, for another course. These last three course are going to drag on, I'm afraid. So, while I wait. I participate on Degree Info. Here is an intersting web site for those who do not like any of the current crop of presidential candidates. You can run!
Sadly, as a naturalized citizen, I cannot run. So the world will NOT be the better place it could have been.
Actually you may be able to run. This was hotly debated in 1968 when Michigan Governor George Romney, born in Mexico to American parents, was challenged as to his qualifications. A number of legal scholars determined he could run. He would have been a wonderful President but his gaffe about having been brainwashed while visiting the troops in Vietman backfired on him. Nixon went on to obtain the GOP nomination, win the Presidency, and the rest, as they say, is history!
This is an interesting site. I guess this is sorta "reality politics". Very interesting. Hummm ..maybe I should tell my class about this....
Clicked on the link and got this: We at Showtime Online express our apologies; however, these pages are intended for access only from within the United States. ???
I am also naturalized, but yesterday I voted electronically and wrote in my daughters name (it won't count because in California write in votes only count for those who have filed as write-in candidates).
Don't be surprised if his son, Mitt (the current MA Governor), is a serious candidate in the 2008 election.
