I'd like to make up some fake news here. Follow me along this twisted path. We have Julian Assange sitting in the Ecuadorian embassy in London with some idle threats being floated that he will be ejected. This would lead to his immediate arrest and extradition to the US. Then we have the arrest of Roger Stone related to leaked Russian-hacked material from WikiLeaks. Mueller wants Stone because of the connection to Trump. Mueller is less interested in Assange. So . . . let's put pressure on Ecuador to kick Assange out of the embassy unless Assange informs on Stone. Assange gets to stay safe in London and Stone gets to share a cell with Manafort.

It is quite possible that the Trump campaign was colluding with the Russian. I doubt it because the evidence of the collision would have been easier to find. Both campaigns would have tried to find dirt on each other ”opposition research”. Anyway, the cynic in me is saying regardless of the outcome, Mueller will be the financial winner. It will be nice if local law enforcement received the same resources for the many egregious crimes committed in poor areas of America as the special counsel.

Mueller is getting paid a salary. He has many years of high-level experience; he can command a good salary anywhere.

Conducting opposition research is not a crime. However, it would be a crime to hack computers and emails. It would also be a crime to work with a foreign adversary to commit a crime against the U.S. Whether or not Mueller has evidence of that, we'll see.

Mueller was the Director of the FBI for 12 years before he retired and became a partner in the law firm Wilmer-Hale. I'd bet he took a substantial pay cut to become the Special Counsel.

There are no words to describe how dumb Roger Stone is.
