I have a great deal of respect for what Regent is doing, and wish them the best of luck--but why are they calling it a religious studies program when it deals only with Christianity...? Wouldn't it make more sense to call it a Ph.D. in Christian studies?

    Cheers,

Just a hunch, but I'm wondering if maybe it doesn't have something to do with the degree nomenclature allowed by SACS.

Very interesting. Dr. Grabe (director) is a graduate of Pretoria (B.A. & Masters) with his doctoral work being done in Meunster Germany. He is also a former UNISA professor.

Regent U has developed a number of on-line Ph.D. options (summer residency required). The University itself is well endowed thanks to Pat Robertson who I believe poured the profits from his selling of the Family Channel into the University. The University exudes class from its red brick buildings to its university crest to its ABA accredited law school. A definite step up from being CBN (Christian Broadcasting Network) University

For those who have asked before about jobs as an on-line professor, Jason Baker (Bakersguide) and a Regent Ph.D. graduate is an on-line professor at the University.
