*Offer valid for new US students enrolling in our Nashua, NH campus."

I take that asterisk to mean you need to be onsite. They also say "Hybrid or Online learning options are available at our Nashua, NH campus to accommodate your schedule." so who knows.

Yeah - I took it to mean that the online program was administered through the Nashua campus because the other campus is in Greece. :)

According to Wikipedia, a source that we all know is never wrong, Hellenic American University has a grand total of 432 students.

At those prices, not for long!

Maybe - the school is only 16 years old, but it is a legitimate non-profit, brick & mortar, regionally accredited institution offering an MBA for (supposedly) $3000. I've requested information because I assume there has to be some kind of qualifier. Their normal price is $14000 according to the course catalog which has prices in dollars and Euros - which makes sense due to the Greece/US campus arrangement they have. This is the cheapest MBA I've ever seen. The only downside I see is that the program itself doesn't seem to have something like AACSB or other noted accreditation at the program level.

    Just got an email response:

    Dear (my name)

Thank you for your MBA inquiry at HAU-New Hampshire where we work with you to build your MBA program in a way that fits your schedule and your goals. Online, hybrid, or face-to-face.

We are currently offering a February 1st tuition enrollment opportunity of $3,000.00 for the MBA program for new students!

Attached you will find a short description of our program as well as an initial application form. Start the process now with just a return attached resume and cover letter.

This is a great opportunity to advance your career and education your way and at an affordable price.

I would be happy to schedule a time to answer any questions you may have.
Please feel free to reach out directly with any questions.

    Happy New Year!

It also includes the dean's email, phone number, etc. and two attached forms. A one-pager about the program and an application form.

At this point I am about to apply and just take it one class at a time if the whole program cost $3000 although I'm working on my DHA right now at Virginia University of Lynchburg

Let us know how it goes. The deadline for this seems to be approaching quickly, but I am truly curious as well - can you apply and then not start classes until later this year? Does it have to be paid upfront to get the rate? I suppose I could respond to the email myself, lol.

I myself inquired two ways and still submitted the application and still did not get an email from anyone but I guess because they are gone for the day. I applied around 4:30 pm est, I sent my unofficial transcripts and a few other things.
How did you get in contact with the dean ? I hope they will allow people to apply for later or at least submit the documents late. As well as I hope they honor the $3000 tuition. Maybe you can try and find out since you got the info ?

I sent an email with lots of questions - I'll be happy to share the responses.
The dean's contact info is: [email protected] or on campus at 603-577-8700.

Yes, his title is Dean Martin :D It looks like in the brochure that the classes start in the fall - at least on the two year plan. I'm not sure about rolling admissions, etc. I've asked about some of that in my email.

    I got some answers.

Thank you for your email and questions. I am happy to provide you with more details.

To start the application process for the tuition scholarship of $3,000 I would just need a few of the basic documents. An unofficial transcript would be a great start. This will allow you some time to request the originals.

If you can email me a copy of a resume, cover letter, and a copy of your unofficial transcript, I will file your application under today's day.

Just be sure I can see some identifying information on the unofficial transcript if pulled from online.

The $3,000.00 tuition price would cover the cost of all the required courses to complete the MBA. I will waive the application and you would just have the costs of any text material required for your classes.

You may begin classes on the week of the 1st if you wish. I can work with you on your schedule, or we can schedule your first course to start on March 29th which is the start of our second spring term.

If you would like, I can schedule a quick online Teams call and we can go over any questions about the program and schedules.

I hope this answers your questions and I look forward to receiving your information for the next steps.

    Best,
    Dean Martin

I sent a few more questions hopefully I can clear up a few things.

@Futuredegree, the only question thus unanswered - but I'm going to assume is true - is that the program is fully online and requires no onsite at their Nashua campus.

I will find out. Waiting for his response these are the questions I asked...

So you mentioned a scholarship, would that offset the current tuition cost and bring the cost down to only $3000?

What are the requirements for the scholarship and is it a merit based scholarship that has requirements to keep it?

Do we have to pay the full $3000 in one lump sum payment or can we finance it with a loan?

March 29th does sound ideal or later to start, what is the latest date you have available to start the program?

Will we still get the tuition cost at $3000 since we are applying by February 1, 2021 even though we are starting at a later date?

Regarding classes are we allowed to take 1 course at a time since they are 7 week courses?

Here are the questions and responses I sent:

    My email:
Thank you for the information and the quick response.
A couple of questions come to mind.

    1. This tuition is very affordable - is there a reason that it has been discounted so much?
    2. Does this apply to the online-only program as well as the hybrid program?
    3. It looks like the classes are scheduled to start in the fall - does that mean that the application process simply needs to be completed before Feb 1 to secure the current tuition rate of $3000?
    4. Are there any other caveats regarding this $3000 tuition rate? For example, the entire amount must be paid in advance, etc.
    5. If one applies for this program at the reduced rate, would they still be eligible for further scholarships that might reduce the tuition even more, or is this a condition of the special rate?
    6. I know the school is regionally accredited - but is the MBA program accredited by AACSB or other noted accreditation at the program level?

This seems like a very good opportunity, I am just curious as to how it works.

I appreciate any further information you can provide.

    His response:
Thank you for your questions. I would be happy to provide you with more details.

Our tuition prices are designed to be very affordable. We try to focus our resources on supporting career and executive development, focusing on small personalized educational experiences without the typical large physical infrastructure you might see of other programs. For instance, we do not have a gym at our campus in NH so I must brave the cold this afternoon for what will be a very short run.

Though at this time, we are not accredited by the AACSB, our expectations are high.

Our $3,000 MBA tuition offer is a scholarship pricing we typically offer for tuition reimbursement through businesses. Given all the factors impacting so many today, I requested offering this pricing through the holidays for our spring semester. This tuition price applies for online and hybrid and would be for the spring terms. Our first spring term begins next week. Our second spring term begins on March 29th.

The only caveat to the $3,000.00 scholarship pricing is you are not a student visa holder. Aside from that, remaining in good academic standing maintains the scholarship price. HAU requires students to maintain a minimum GPA of 3.25.

We offer tuition payment plans. You are not required to pay the full amount. Our Student Services Coordinator will work with you to set up a payment plan that works for you.

I hope I have answered all of your questions. If you would like to apply to the program under the current tuition offer, I would be happy to start your application with a resume and cover letter. I can note your file for the tuition offer and this will provide a bit more time to gather your transcripts and other documents.

I am always available to answer any other questions!

    Best,
    Dean Martin

So it looks like this is a rate they used to offer corporate folks and have decided to extend it to the general public. Online program is included in that pricing model. You don't have to pay it all at once, and you must maintain a 3.25 GPA.

Interesting and certainly cheap. I can appreciate the fact they are targeting a specific group of people without fluffing things up. Anyone going to take a shot at it?

Looks like I'm going to apply for this program , I already sent my unofficial transcripts, my cover letter , and my resume. For $3000 cant go wrong. I have never studied business but I always wanted an MBA so i think now would be the right time. Adding one more class into my schedule wont kill me as I am already a student at Virginia university of Lynchburg doing my doctorate in healthcare administration.
My prior degrees include a master's in criminal justice, master's in urban affairs, and a master's in public administration. I also have two graduate certificates, one in executive leadership and one in criminal investigations.
