Other states provided results fast, same day or next day.
I understand that when it's as close as the races are in Nevada, Arizona and Georgia it takes time to count every valid ballot. It may be a slow process, but I'm sure everyone wants accuracy over a quick conclusion which may be inaccurate and some states have rules that mail-in ballots are not allowed to be counted until election day.
Still is it resource issue? One would think in our age and time the counting of votes shouldn't take that long.

Perhaps resources might be part of the story, I don't know. What I saw on TV was that Florida and Arizona have similar voting laws. However Florida is fast and Arizona is slow. The reason is that in Florida mail-in ballots have to be mailed in but in Arizona they can turn in mail-in ballots in person even on election day. A very large number of mail-in ballots are turned in on election day in Arizona. This is the reason that Arizona counting is so much slower. It is similar in California and is why California is also very slow counting.

Of course, the popular MAGA Republican explanation has to do with conspiracies and a huge secret army of election thieves stealing the election. What I don't understand about this silly belief though is if true, why did the army of Democrat election thieves steal the election from Trump in 2020 but didn't bother stealing more down ballot elections?

California, I can understand its the nation's most populous state. Still it shouldn't take weeks or a month to count the votes.
Rep. Kevin McCarthy maybe inching towards House Speaker role but its not guaranteed.

The whole thing is in waves and cycles, our day the young generation being more liberal and progressive outvote older people and they are voting Democrat in large numbers.
Some will become older and more conservative with the time to maybe replace the more conservative BB generation that is decreasing.
As to secret armies of elections thieves, they seem to compete, like in 2016 they were Russians :).

Democrats will keep control of the senate after winning Arizona and Nevada. I'm confident they will hold on to Georgia after the runoff.

Republicans on verge of taking House as counting continues
Party needs one more seat for majority after wins in California, Arizona and New York.
Currently according to associated press the count is D=205 R=217 and 13 still being counted.

The Republican Party has secured its first major feat in the 2022 midterm elections,
regaining the majority of seats in the U.S. House of Representatives, which has been controlled by Democrats for the past four years. Republicans' thin majority in the House will require them to act with a certain level of bipartisanship.
Democrats will keep control of the senate

As usual we may see a few states with recounts.
I heard that in AZ state there are complains about Machine Tabular failure, 30% of the tabulators couldn't process ballots because the size of the ballots programming on the tabulators was changed from 19" to 20" long ballots that been used in 2020 and 2022 primary. So on Nov 8 the ballot size was not the same as on primary 2022 which was an inch shorter.
Yet the mailing-in ballots were 20 " long.
So the issue possibly in review and there is a push to recount. Don't know how accurate the info I heard.

Screenshots of the tweets spread among conservative channels, including TruthSocial, Telegram and on Twitter.
Messaging on social media escalated after the morning’s tabulator mishaps.

After Maricopa County election officials advised voters of three options if they were at a polling location experiencing issues with a tabulator: one was drop your ballot in a secure slot dubbed “door 3.”

Kelli Ward, Arizona Republican Party chair, cautioned people against putting their ballots in “box 3” or “door 3.”

“Voting machines in Maricopa County are "not working" and poll staffers are reporting 25% of ballots are being ‘misread,’” said Ashley St. Clair in a tweet.CO state also some talking about recount.
