Hi, im interested in finding out what is the typical price charged for enrolling in a Distance Learning course. Furthermore, should i be looking for any "hidden costs"? Any help would be appreciated...thanks icu581
There can be several ancillary costs associated with taking a course, but they're seldom "hidden." Sometimes these costs are paid to the course provider, sometimes they're incurred by the student and paid elsewhere. Books and materials are a classic example. Sometimes they're included in a distance course's cost, other times they're borne by the student separately. In this case, students sometimes pay a book/material fee to the school; other times the student is left to obtain the books/materials from a third party. There can sometimes be other fees involved: registration, application, examination fees are all common. Read your material carefully, and make sure you ask your questions ahead of time. Rich Douglas
