Does anyone know how much time the portfolio/prior learning programs take at TE and Excelsior? Can they be completed as quickly as you can get portfolio materials together?

Just trying to get a better understanding...

    In a word, yes.

    In two words, yes, indeed.

All of that presumes, of course, that you have the materials available. Being anal-compulsive and never throwing anything out helps. :D

    Steve,

I mentioned this on another thread, but I've amassed some 30 credits at a state-approved Christian school that I'd like to present as portfolio to TE or Excelsior (not enrolled yet!). In your experience, would such coursework - including pages of lecture notes, summaries from several books, and a research paper on a relevant topic - as well as recommendations from faculty, etc., be enough to qualify as prior learning in a particular subject?

Sorry to ask another question, and thanks for the insight!

Yes, if you can match them up to the course descriptions of similar courses at RA schools. Read the articles on TESC portfolios in the article section on this board, then surf to the portfolio guide on TESC's web site for info on how to pull it off.
