A master's degree is required, however, for the Certificate of Clinical Competence - Audiology, and I've heard that a doctorate will be required in several more years. This field, along with speech pathology, seems to be following the same path as psychology in terms of credential requirements.

I don't know how this relates to the person in question. It doesn't seem likely that his worthless Monticello diploma would pass muster.

Certainly! At this point the male Dr. Sucato would probably not be criticizing the female Dr. Sucato. I was thinking, perhaps, more along the lines of before she began the Ph.D. program. One would think (or at least I would) that he/she/they checked out CSU's accreditation, especially since he had a RA Ph.D. But, who knows? [IMG]

As to being married, Yes! For a quarter of a century, since I was 18, and to the same woman. [IMG]

    Re the Love Doctor

Bill Huffman points out that she (and he) are in San Diego (although they have never been seen together). This is good news, since the ABC outlet in SD has been extremely aggressive in pursuing Columbia State; they were the ones who found the secret headquarters in San Clemente. I suspect their consumer person, Marti Emerald, will be interested in this one. I'll drop her a line.

Well I never claimed we've never been in the same area at the same time but if we have, I didn't detect/feel/know the Love Doctor's presence. (I assume that anyone known as the Love Doctor would just have to have a very powerful aura even if she/he/it had a Ph.D. from a degree mill.)

Typically, a bachelor's is required for commissioning, but there can sometimes be other requirements. However, there is little chance that this lieutenant's fake master's is actually on his education record. Oh, it might show up in an article in a newsletter, but that's not the same thing.

For the degree to be entered onto his record, two things have to occur. First, he presents his transcripts to the local education services department on his base. (Actually, he has sealed, official copies sent there.) The local office should--but might not--exercise due diligence and confirm the school's accreditation (or lack thereof). If the school is properly accredited, the local folks fill out a form and forward the transcript and form to the Air Force Institute of Technology. AFIT receives the transcript and checks out the school in their data base of accredited schools, each of which has a code assigned to it. If the school does not have a code, AFIT then determines whether or not it is properly accredited. Then, and only then, is the degree and source (school) entered into the officer's record. This process isn't fool-proof, but the coding does a good job of preventing fake degrees from getting into the records.

Rich Douglas, who did this for a few years.
