    Hi Everyone!

I am interested in transitioning into academia, I would love to Teach and do some research but keep my current job in Finance. I do not want to become a full-time professor at this point but maybe later in life when I get sick of industry. I know becoming a tenured professor is difficult before everyone goes crazy telling me it's nearly impossible.

Anyways, ISM in Paris has offered me a huge discount on tuition and would only cost me 20k to complete my PhD there. I talked to various graduates and some are tenured professors and some are in industry still. Does anyone have an opinion on this school? I am not going to quit my job and pursue a PhD full-time but I would love to start studying and completing some research part-time.

    Any advice/info is greatly appreciate!!!

It is a decent institution with positive reviews. How do you get the discount from $91,000.00 to $20,000.00? The school is NOT accredited by AMBA, AACSB, or EQUIS. The institution is accredited by ABCSP and IACBE; sometimes it is considering as inferior in Business Education accreditation.

    Hello!

Has a very good reputation here in Europe. So, well, why not?

    Best regards,

I believe that TEKMAN is correct in that it has ACBSP and IACBE Accreditation. This is not necessarily bad but it does make landing a tenure-track faculty position more difficult as a lot of job postings will strongly prefer an individual with a PhD from an AACSB Accredited program. Having said that, if it has a good reputation, cost is marginal and will help you achieve your goals then go for it!
