Yeah, it is legit. Jeffrey Mishlove is indeed the only person to have ever earned a Ph.D. in Parapsychology from UC Berkeley. It was a Union Institute style self-designed interdisciplinary major. There's a DL angle to this. Mishlove is currently in charge of the 'Consciousness Studies' masters program at the University of Philosophical Research. So if anyone wants to study with Mishlove by DL, he's available. http://www.uprs.edu/ UPRS is CA-approved and one of the current DETC applicants. The full-text of one of Mishlove's books is online here: http://www.williamjames.com/Intro/CONTENTS.htm
I believe that JFK University in northern CA either offers or used to offer an RA parapsychology degree. Not sure if they are doing DL, I know they were considering it. ITP in Palo Alto also has some "out there" psychological coursework and some of their grads have done work in parapsychology and related fields. And of course there is the Maharishi University (also RA) which has all sorts of paranormal coursework and studies. Still far from mainstream, but recognized as valid by the regionals.
Is anyone familiar with The Rhine Research Center? Is the center part of Duke University? http://www.rhine.org/
