Give it up Bill G., it's hopeless.

Censoring the posts isn't gonna keep us from locating a "prestigious non-accredited university" if we want one. Everybody on earth gets spammed with this crap at least once a month.

    Isn't that the ultimate oxymoron?

Quite true, but we made a policy decision a while back that we wouldn't allow contact information for degree mills to be posted. Sidenote: This is probably the only standard policy that we have which should be obvious given the many, many posts, but the very, very few edits by admins/moderators.

Isn't that policy violated every time anyone posts a link to some degree mill that they want to discuss?

In the last day alone we have had links posted to a couple of the "prestigious non-accredited universities" and to two of the many Trinity College and University variants.

Even if no links were permitted, anyone with an IQ of room temperature could easily search for any degree mill that was named here and quickly find a website with contact information.

I don't know, Tom... If you guys like editing the posts, feel free. I'm not criticizing you. I just think that it's pointless.

You make it sound as if this policy were written in a book (tentatively titled "Bears' Guide to the best in Degreeinfo policy"). I guess I should have added a few more words. Advertisements for degree mills (regardless of who posts it) will be edited for contact information. Better?

Obviously this changes an extremely minute amount of how we operate. Certainly people can go and find the information. I hope they have a good time doing so.

It is an excellent policy if for no other reason than on the principle that the frauds should be totally silenced. I mean their advertizing should be silenced. (You know how those frauds can get mighty touchy, right George? :) )
