    I would say your thoughts are worth much more than two cents; thanks for giving them. :)

    Yes, I've considered what you're talking about; I certainly understand where you're coming from.

    I can't teach online -- don't have a master's. I do need health insurance, so I would need a job that would provide it.

    Unfortunately, jobs are not plentiful around here. Teaching and the health field provide a good majority of what's available.

    In practice isn't the the work of, say, a vice-principal very much like the work of a school counselor? There's a lot of personal touch to the work of most vice-principals. Meanwhile, I think there's often a lot of administration in the work of school counselors.

    Obviously, but I've never seen an employer looking for a writer where I live.

    In some places, maybe, but not in the schools I've worked at.
