Opinions please

    If you are serious (I doubt you really are), this has to be one of the worst reasons to put "MBA" on your business card. Flaunting success is transparently tacky. Education is one of the few things in life that can be had by anyone. As you said, "any butthead from the streets of east Oakland could get [a degree]". You would make more of an impression by leasing a Mercedes (not one of the cheap ones).

    What about other master's degrees? Do people really put them on cards and such?

    I have an M.A. that I don't list on my business card. As a matter of fact, the only place that I can remember using the designation is on the title pages of the three books that I have authored/co-authored.

    I received my M.A. a dozen years ago.

    I would think that would depend on what your MA was in and what you are doing professionally. For example, a historic preservation consultant might list on his business card an MA in History, Public History, or Historic Preservation, but not an MA in Under Water Basket Weaving. On the other hand, the professional underwater basketweaver might list her/his MA in Under Water Basket Weaving, but not her/his MA in History.
